How much should I order?
As a guide, allow around 250–300g of raw joint per adult when served as a main meal with sides.

These estimates are for boneless belly. Belly contains more fat, which renders during cooking. If you request the bones left in, allow 300–350g per adult and ask us to advise on the joint.

Cooking tips for this cut
Belly suits slow roasting to render the fat and tenderise the meat. Dry the rind well if making crackling and follow a recipe suited to the size and preparation of your joint.
Use a clean food thermometer to check that the centre reaches 70°C for 2 minutes, or 75°C for 30 seconds. Check meat away from bones. Food Standards Agency cooking guidance.
