Five generations. One place to call home.
The Thompson family has farmed in the Moss Valley for over a hundred years. Now in our fifth generation, we’re still rooted here at Povey Farm, in the Derbyshire countryside on Sheffield’s doorstep.
Our work begins long before the butcher’s block. We breed and rear our own pigs and grow cereals that are milled and mixed here on the farm for their feed.
In our purpose-built butchery, opened in 2006, we prepare pork, bacon, ham and sausages for family kitchens and local restaurants, cafés and delis. Seasonally, we also offer our home-bred lamb, hogget and mutton.
